Can I return my new Sprint Nextel phone if I don't like it?
There is a 30-day grace period during which all new Sprint Nextel phones can be exchanged or returned without charge. The 30 days begins at the time that the phone is received by the Telephone Services Office.

Can I keep my existing wireless phone and switch the service to Sprint Nextel? / Can I trade in my existing phone?
No. You will need to purchase a new wireless phone and service plan from Sprint Nextel. Hardware trade-ins or upgrades are not accepted. You will, however, receive a $150 credit when purchasing a new service plan.
Can I keep my existing phone number with my new Sprint Nextel phone and service plan?
Yes, it is now possible to keep your old phone number when switching to a new service provider using the Number Portability service provided by Sprint. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please include your current wireless phone number in the "Number Portability" section of the order form. A Sprint representative will contact you to obtain additional information about your current account.
What can I do with my old cellular phone that I no longer need? / What should my department do with our old cellular phones after switching to Sprint phones?
As a result of the transition to Sprint Nextel as the University's cellular phone provider, there are a number of old cellular phones on campus from other providers which are no longer useful. These phones can be dropped off at the Telephone Services Office in the Perceptis House at 11424 Bellflower, where they will be donated to the Northern Ohio Easter Seals organization through Sprint Nextel. The Northern Ohio Easter Seals organization distributes the profits from donated phones to local charities throughout Northern Ohio. To donate your department's old cellular phones, please bring them to 11414 Bellflower along with the chargers and any other accessories which are no longer needed.
If I have an existing personal Sprint Nextel account, can I receive the Case discount?
Yes. You can start receiving the Case Western Reserve University discount while keeping your existing Sprint Nextel phone, phone number, and service plan.
Student, Faculty, Staff, and Affiliates with personal phones: Please complete this form. You will receive a 8% discount on your current Sprint Nextel service (personal plans only).
How will my service be billed?
Business Phones: Your monthly bill will be applied to the departmental account number that you specify when ordering service, and will appear on your monthly statement.
Student/Faculty/Staff personal phones: You will be billed directly by Sprint Nextel.
Can I change my service plan or options later if I want to?
Yes, you can change your service plan and add or remove extra features at any time. To do this, fill out the appropriate modification form:

What are the differences between the Free and Clear plans and the Total Wireless Access plans?
Student, Faculty and Staff wanting to order a phone for personal use may use any available Sprint plan. Phones for business use may use either the Free and Clear plans or the Total Wireless Access plans.
Are there any discounts on phones?
Phones ordered by students or for business use receive a $150 account credit.
This credit will be applied to the first invoice after activation against charges for services, and will roll over until used, up to a maximum of 12 invoicing cycles.
What do I need to know about international calling?
As a fraud prevention measure, international calling is disabled on all new Sprint Nextel phones. If you would like to enable international calling on your phone, please contact the Telephone Services Office by email or at 368-3900.

How can I purchase an accessory for my phone that isn't listed on the order form?
Accessories which are not listed should be purchased directly from a Sprint Nextel store. Sprint Nextel also offers an accessory hotline at 1-800-974-2221 which can be used to order accessories. |
